Believe it or not, having a garage in the mountains is considered a luxury! This is because many homes do not currently possess one. Building a garage or carport onto your mountain home can add as much as $25,000 - $50,000 to your investment! It will also protect your vehicles from excessive weather conditions, tree sap, and falling pine cones (Yes, it does happen)!

#3 Homes on Streets That Are Paved and Maintained by the County Are Worth More

When it snows, roads that are paved and maintained by the county get plowed. Those that are not, which are usually considered private or access roads, do not get plowed. Therefore, a home that is easily accessed in severe weather conditions is worth more than a home that isn't as easily accessed.
